Penguin Christmas Theme

Our 4th Christmas Theme is a Penguin Theme. It's my son's favorite animal and even had his 2nd birthday party as a Penguin Winter-Land theme. As usual, we started with a Coloring Page ~ a Santa Penguin.

I also made this great Keepsake Christmas Penguin Plate with him using his footprint and fingerprints. Click HERE to see the instructions on my other blog.

The next day, I was making cookies for our cookie swap and made some with a Penguin Cookie Cutter. I let him decorate his own cookie to eat.

His finished Penguin Cookie Creation!
Here he is eating a t penguin cookie with his FAVORITE stuffed animal.

He also got to wear his Penguin Tattoo that he received from a birthday party he recently attended.

I am SO HAPPY with the way this turned out!!! It is eventually going to be a Homemade Animal Bowling Game since he is so into knocking things over (he thinks it's hilarious!). I was browsing through The Ramblings of a Crazy Woman's Blog and saw this adorable Halloween bowling game that she made. I never got the chance to make one since it was such a busy month. Click HERE to see the Spooky ones she made.

I thought it would be CUTE to make an animal version for my son and incorporate it into our animal themed crafts. To make this penguin one, I poured black acrylic paint into an empty 2-Liter bottle. I placed the cap on, let my son shake the paint around ,and then set it aside to dry. After it dried, I used white and orange acrylic paint to add in the details on the outside of the bottle (3 coats!). I cut 2 wings from black contstruction paper and glued them on the sides with Tacky glue. It was very SIMPLE to make and can't wait to make more!

When Diego was younger his favorite animals at the zoo were the peguins. I love ALL of these! We are definitely going to do the footprint soon!
