Looking Back ~ 2009

I have been actively doing this blog for about 6 months now and am enjoying looking back at all the projects we have done. Here are some of my favorites excluding the holidays and the mommy made ones ~ Enjoy!

This was a fun sensory painting project we did- sure to be a hit with the younger toddlers!

We decorated an old shoebox using a technique called decoupage to store all his foam stickers in.

I loved the way this one turned out! My son had a blast using Nu Pastels (like chalk) to color with. He had even more fun smearing it all around!

Check out the 3-D fish we made! You could make anything using this same idea.....

I'm sure you've seen this one before~ I call it the tie dye butterfly. I got the idea from my then 4 year old niece who brought a similar butterfly and egg carton caterpillar home from preschool.

OK, I said no mommy made but I have used this homemade fishing game for so many things- easy to make to! My son has spent many hours laying with it at home, we brought it to a luau, I had it out for his Jungle Safari Birthday Party, and he went ice fishing with it!

This festive maraca was made using things around the house and looks so neat!

Thanks for all your wonderful comments/emails in 2009 and look forward to reading them in 2010!!!

Just found your blog through My bilingual boys. I'm adding you to my list as I am always looking for creative and artsy things to do with my oldest boy. I just joined the blogging world.

All of these things are so great! And I really like your fishing game... we have something similar, but your fish just have SO much more personality!! I love the maraca - we have a shaker bottle I've made, but decorating the bottle itself is a brilliant idea! Thank you for all the inspiration! :)

I love the homemade fishing game! My mom has been searching for one (in stores) I'll have to tell her we should just make one like yours!
