Sandra Boynton Horns to Toes Book & Craft

Today we read the Sandra Boynton Book Horns to Toes and In Between and also did 2 crafts related to the book. I am so excited to be participating again in stART (Story + Art) hosted over at A Mommy's Adventure! Head over there to see other's stART projects.

As the title says, this book is about all the different body parts from horns to toes and everything in between. One of the pages has numbers on the 10 fingers. This is my son's favorite part of the book!

We made our own version of that page by tracing my son's hands and writing the numbers on his fingertips.

Of course we don't have horns so I decided to make my little guy his very own horns to wear. I used the handle from a brown paper shopping bag to make the headband, but you can use construction paper cut into strips as well as other things. I cut 2 yellow triangles from craft foam and taped them to the headband.

Maybe I should have made him devil horns.... his expression almost makes him look devilish!

Here he is observing his horns in the mirror.... so cute!
