I got the book How do Dinosaurs Say I Love You? by Jane Yolen & Mark Teague. My son loves it! This is one of the few books where he is so intrigued by the illustrations that he doesn't try to turn the page before I am done reading it. He seems to enjoy all the different facial expressions. I have been seeing all these cute Popsicle Stick Puzzles around the web and thought it would be a perfect craft to go along with the book.
4 x 6 Dinosaur image (or anything you'd like)
Razor or another cutting tool
I placed my dinosaur image upside-down a a piece of newspaper and spread Mod Podge over the entire area. Then, I took Popsicle Sticks and placed them side-by-side until all of it was covered.
When it finished drying, I used a razor blade to cut through each piece. Now your ready to let your child play with it!
This was such a HUGE hit with my little guy! I am so glad that I wrote numbers on them because he has so much fun finding which number comes next.
